You can adjust the “kick” of the tines after it enters the soil on this unit. This means before the tines come up out of the ground there is an extra movement on the end of the tines to shatter the soil below. This releases compaction and creates fissure, which gives new areas for roots to grow in and improves air & water movement in the soil.
